One hot summer evening, co-creator Chris Handy dreamt of a horse racing game while riding a jet ski. He quickly developed this game into a playable demo. Soon, more games began to follow and Chris realized the potential of his games. After talking with several small game companies, Chris and Jennifer Handy decided to launch a game design company.

Based in Hilmar, California, perplext is a small game company promising to bring fun and exciting games into homes everywhere. Currently, there are three perplext games on the market, all of which are published by Simply Fun. Chris Handy also operates Suite A Records, home of CJ, the children's entertainer.
